Cleaning and Caring for Plumbing Fixtures
Polished and Satin (Brushed) Nickel

Nickel is very hard and if not mechanically damaged can last for many years. The process of abrading the surface of nickel to get the satin or brushed finish exposes the surface to more atmospheric oxidation. These finishes tend to hide scratches better than their polished counterparts over their lifetime. With gentle, regular cleaning they too can last many years.
  • Wipe off water after each use with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots
  • A mild liquid dishwashing detergent can be used to clean stubborn water spots or pollutants
  • A chrome polish can also be used, being careful to rub with the grain of a brushed or satin finish
  • NEVER use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners; they will scratch the surface
