Designed to be passed through generations, the New Heirloom Rug Collection is crafted from recycled and upcycled wool, cocoon silk and sari silk. The materials are unraveled to their fibres, re-spun and dyed before being hand-knotted by master artisans. The collection’s one-of-a-kind rugs feature patterns inspired by different periods, from the intricacies of 16th century textiles to the minimalism of 20th century design.

Silk Orchid AJ-581 is made from a combination of Indian wool and hand-spun cocoon silk – two materials that combine to offer natural strength and a lustrous finish.
The rug's complex field pattern consists of horizontal rows punctuated with floral motifs. An intensive dyeing and washing process lends AJ-581 exceptional depth of colour and opulence.
