An icon of modern furniture production, this vintage HF11 Lounge Chair was designed by Jindrich Halabala for Up Závody, circa 1950s. One of Jindrich Halabala's most famous designs, this lounge chair was one of the first mass-produced furniture pieces from Czechoslovakia. Featuring an elegantly curved plywood arm that hugs an oversized reclined seat, this chair's compact size offers an inviting plush comfort.

Jindrich Halabala (1903-1970) was a designer who is credited with ushering in the mass market production of furniture in his native Czechoslovakia. He believed that furniture could be well-finished and widely accessible, which lead him into pioneering many series of modular furniture that would go on to inspire a generation of designers.
