Vintage Alvar Aalto MD41 Paimio Lounge Chair
Designed in 1932 by Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto, the Paimio Lounge Chair was created to furnish the interior of a tuberculosis sanatorium in the Finnish city of Paimio. The chair’s graceful curves are crafted from bentwood, Alto’s pioneering wood bending technique.
