Description
Offering a stylish mix of black leather and Italian walnut, this iconic vintage Sapporo Chair was designed for Mario Marenco for Mobil Girgi, circa 1970s. Displaying a sculptural design, this chair features a wooden frame consisting of a floating backrest held by two vertical slats with two shorter wooden slat legs in the front. A slim leather seat adds an elevated look and comfort to this chair.
Internationally reknown, Mario Marenco (1933 - 2019) was not only an architect and designer, but also a famous comedian and actor. Based out of Rome, Marenco developed various design projects with top mid-century manufacturers such as B&B Italia, Arflex and Poltrana Frau.
