Designed by Ejvind Johansson for Fredericia Stolefabrik

Vintage Ejvind Johansson J64 Armchair

Price For 1 Chair (Sold As A Set Of 10)

An iconic spindle-back piece, this vintage J64 Chair was designed by Ejvind Johansson and manufactured by Fredericia Stolefabrik, circa 1960s. The signature spoke-back and gentle, sloping armrests make the J64 chair a timeless classic. The curve of the seat and back add ergonomic comfort and allows for many seating postures. It draws similarities with a traditional Windsor design, as well as Nordic folk furniture.

Ejvind Johansson (1923 - 2002) was a Danish designer that was well known for his unorthodox style. Often mixing classical English and Scandinavian styles with modernistic simplistic shaping and through that created timeless pieces of furniture. To this day these are highly popular across the globe.

Style: Danish Modern
Period: circa 1960s
