Embodying iconic Scandinavian design structures, this vintage Model 79 Chair was designed by Niels Otto Moller and manufactured by J.L. Mollers Mobelfabrik, circa 1960s. Crafted from rich walnut, the slender frame and sculpted edges are perfect examples of the fine craftsmanship that defines Moller's Danish modern aesthetic. The comfortable squared seat allows for various positioning and has been recently re-upholstered with a tailored cushion.

Niels Otto Moller (1920-1982) was a Danish designer who is known for his consistent excellence in craftsmanship, which made him one of the most influential furniture designers of his time. Starting his career as a cabinetmaker, Moller had a great eye for detail and was also a leading figure in modernizing furniture production. J.L. Mollers Mobelfabrik, the company that Niels Moller founded, is still in operation with many of his original design being currently produced in the same original factory.
